CFCC is one of only two community colleges in the nation to receive a grant to host the 2017 festival.
“We are thrilled to be offering this festival to our students and to the public for the third year in a row thanks to the generous support of the FACE Foundation,” said Caroline Hudson, CFCC French instructor and co-originator/investigator of the grant.
All films are in French with English subtitles, and all screenings are free and open to the public. “These are some of France’s most critically-acclaimed feature films, all showing for the first time in Wilmington,” said Lucinda McNamara, CFCC film instructor. “It is an honor to show them at CFCC.”
The screening schedule is as follows: February 20, 6 pm - Pierrot Le Fou; February 21, 12.30 pm – Francofonia; February 22, 6 pm - Valley of Love; February 23, 12.30 pm – Reality; February 23, 6 pm – My Golden Days; and February 24, 6 pm – Saint Laurent.
Tournées Film Festival is made possible with the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the U.S., the Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image Animée (CNC), the French American Cultural Fund, Florence Gould Foundation and Highbrow Entertainment.
